Big Bear Off-Road Trails
If you’re looking for an adventure in the great outdoors, check out these off-road trails in Big Bear!
Big Pine Flat Trail
The 26.5-mile long Big Pine Flat Trail is a mostly dirt road that can fit two cars side-by-side, but be aware that some sections may only allow for one car to pass through. You’ll also have to cross a creek at some point, but it’s shallow enough that you won’t get wet (and trust me, the views are worth stopping for).
Burns and Rattlesnake Canyons Trail
For experienced users, the Burns and Rattlesnake Canyons Trail will be especially gratifying; only high clearance four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended due to how sandy and rocky the trail is. And remember–those views are worth it!
Dishpan Springs Trail
If you’re a novice driver, we recommend avoiding this Big Bear off-road trail. The climbs are much too steep, and it’s difficult to navigate the giant boulders, deep ruts, and pools of water. However, if you have extensive experience driving off-road vehicles, then you’ll love the challenge!
