Reviews of Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort and Ski Area
“Wow, lifelong Oregonian and had never been to Mt. Bachelor. My daughter 🎿 skies there often and really enjoys her experiences. All photos were taken from the lodge. Wah an amazingly good lunch with a world class Bloody Mary. The weather was spectacular and everyone had a great time.Even non-skier me. Great facility and beautiful access.”
“Great ski and snowboard mountain with good snow management and good vibe. Large enough that it spreads out the crowd. Eat at the food trucks over the lodges…most lodges have a bunch of fried food. I did get a taco salad at first lodge up main lift that was very tasty.”
“Will definitely come back again! Wife and I went there during MLK Long weekend to ski and we had a great time! The resort offers variety of terrains for all levels. It also has half pipe and performance venue if you are into them. There are two main parking lots at the base (west village and sunrise). There would have been a third one but the lift was under maintenance (skyliner) so that parking was closed effectively. The free parkings do get filled up pretty quickly but there are paid parking which were also full during the long weekend when we were there. The suggestion is to try to get there maybe 30 minutes before open (the lifts open at 9 am) to ensure you get yourself a free spot. There are people who direct the traffic so it was well organized. Onto the lodges, there are a few lodges at the base which offers basic fast food such as fries, burgers, chicken fingers. Nothing fancy. There are also a few cafe at which you could grab a coffee while waiting the lifts to be open. The lodge on the mountain (Pine Marten Lodge) was great. You need to take the Pine Marten lift up. We didn’t go there since we didn’t have much time but imagine you could get a pretty good view. The shops and rental shops were average. We didn’t need to rent but saw a long line when I passed by (likely due to the long weekend). Two things stood out to me here: 1) if you purchase your lift ticket online like us, you could just print it out with the barcode at the station. There are tons of those machines. Very convenient! That is if you didn’t already have a pass. 2) the app worked great! I recommend you download it before going there. They have the live map which shows the wait time of each lift. Also if you choose to track your ski, the app shows where you are at all times (if you have your smart phone with you)! La plagne take note! Overall we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back in future!”
