The Chinook Winds Casino has been owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians of Oregon since 1995. The original facility was 10,000 square feet and only had 250 slots and 12 card tables. Over the next year, the current facility was being constructed and finally announced its grand opening in 1996.
