Whether you prefer to stay or play, or a little bit of both, make sure to check out these scenic points:
ROADS END STATE RECREATION SITE
Enjoy easy beach access and stunning hiking trails from this state park. Kids of all ages will enjoy beach combing and exploring tide pools teeming with a variety of marine life at the northernmost point of Roads End. Other popular beach activities range from beachcombing to kiteboarding to fat tire biking. Ample parking and restrooms make this a great place for a pit stop or a full beach day.
Insiders Tip: Lincoln City is home to Finders Keepers. Hand-crafted glass floats are placed along the seven miles of public beach from the Roads End area to Siletz Bay. Roads End State Recreation Site is a very popular location to find … and keep your very own glass float.
THE KNOLL
A favorite hike of locals and visitors alike, this moderately difficult 3-mile loop boasts spectacular views of the glimmering Pacific Ocean, Devils Lake, and a bird’s eye view of the town.
To reach the trailhead, turn north on NE Devils Lake Blvd from Highway 101. Follow the road past a gate until you reach a cul-de-sac. Park on the street and the trailhead to the Knoll is just beyond the road.
A SECRET BEACH
At low tide, it is possible to climb around Roads End Point to a secret cove and beach. Don’t linger too long, or you may get stuck until the next low tide to get out!
